Could there be anything happier than dogs, Tassie beaches and planes? Well, I guess if we add in ‘winning the lotto’, ‘quitting your day job to become a self made millionaire’, or maybe ‘full time luxury traveller’… but since none of those things are on the cards for me on this fine Sunday, we’ll just stick to the basics.
I cannot tell you how thrilled I am that I started this little blog series. I know it’s only my second book review, but it’s exactly what I needed to kick start this reading thing again. The only down side is that now I want to read all the time instead of blog. Oh the problems I have. I also feel like I may be the last person in the world to discover Book Depository. Those books are CHEAP compared to the book stores, aren’t they!! And free worldwide shipping? I must have been hiding under a rock to miss this little gem!!
When I was a kid I used to read a lot. My favourite part of the day was between 8.30pm and 9pm when I was tucked up in bed with the latest Baby Sitters Club book. Since becoming a little bit more ‘adult’ my reading time has slowly faded away. During uni I spent so much time reading thick text books that there wasn’t enough time for anything else.
Now that I’m mostly all done with that my aim is to start reading again. And not just books on my iPad either, actual physical books. iBooks is handy for when I’m out and about but nothing compares to a physical book in your hand and the smell of freshly printed pages.
The 31st of January was my 31st Birthday. Yup.. 31.. on the 31st!! I can’t believe it myself. Its scary how the years go so quickly when you get older, not that turning 31 is old (I hope). It feels like only yesterday I was celebrating my 30th birthday in the most mature way possible with a trip to Harry Potter World in Orlando. This year was a little bit more sedate but I still had a great day.
Is it just me or does spring time make you want to go out and buy every single pretty flower on the planet?! It’s this time every year that I convince myself that I’m a responsible plant owner. Unfortunately the plants that I said that about last year have since passed away, but I feel like I’m going to do it right this year. I’ve even named this post “Spring Adulting.” You can’t get more serious than adulting!!
This year I have actually taken the time to read the information on the back of the card that tells me if my new BPF (Best Plant Forever) needs extra sun, or like me, needs to be kept in the shade to avoid lobster level sunburn.
